| Former NFL PLayer, Jeff Winans founded Day For Our Children, Inc. in 1992. Jeff was totally disabled from football in 1981. In 1984, he suffered an accidental gunshot injury which eventually took his right leg just below the knee.. While experiencing multiple surgeries, Jeff founded D.F.O.C., Inc., with his wife Brandi, to make a difference to abused and terminally ill kids, teens and young adults. In 1998, Brandi took over as President and continues the mission. The Mission at Day For Our Children is to teach adolescent and young adults how to become all that they can be through the power of possibility thinking and the "I can" attitude through her"Wannabe" Outreach Programs and Special Events |
